Our view is that Monday.com a heavy-weight work management tool, that is good for small teams and projects, it competes with ClickUp and Atlassian Jira as well as Microsoft Planner and Trello. These software products offer a high level of flexibility and configuration but are extremely complex. Monday.com’s flexibility is a major advantage but has quite a learning curve.
Monday.com is an effective work management tool. Still, its pricing, complexity, and lack of time management tools make it not suitable for all.

Monday.com offers advanced PM solutions. Flexibility requires a complex UI, including many grids, filters and dropdowns as well as right-click menus. Over the years, Monday.com has developed a complex but powerful solution.
The main problem it’s hard to manage project portfolios with multiple teams, resources, milestones, and dependencies.
Monday.com offers Gantt timelines, still, it does not have any resource planning tools. It is not able to see the workloads or availability of your team members when planning projects and also lacks time tracking capabilities.

The only cost you face to implement PPM Express Enterprise is a license cost, starting $7,995 (price depends on the number of seats only; PPM Express provides unlimited seat plans as well).
Monday’s Pro plan provides access to time-tracking capabilities. However, Monday.com’s time tracking features are very basic and it does not allow for splitting of time between teams or team members. Monday offers a free price plan for up to 2 users. Paid plans start at $10-$20 per month.
Monday.com can be “pricey” because of one major reason. Monday price plans are calculated based on fixed slabs that represent the number of seats in your team. Examples of slabs include 30, 40, 50 and 100 seats. For any team member between 51 and 100, you will always pay for 100 seats.
